The mission of the HUBZone Accelerator Project is to help and empower underserved communities through strengthening and advocating HUBZone companies. The Accelerator provides HUBZone companies a centralized network to focus on the mission of member companies to their communities and the people that reside there. HUBZone Accelerator is a one-stop resource for HUBZone companies to grow their company, share resources, and market their capabilities to large prime businesses and government agencies. In addition the HUBZone Accelerator will provide a platform for HUBZone member companies to champion their businesses as technically qualified in engineering, science and/or technology.
The SBA HUBZone Program is set up to tackle the nationally urgent and highly important need of unemployment in underserved communities by encouraging placement of small businesses “elbow to elbow” within these areas. The HUBZone Program may be the most important tool the government has to resolve unemployment issues in HUBZone areas, many of which contain or are adjacent to inner-cities. In this vein, the HUBZone Accelerator Project promotes HUBZone certification as more than just a tool to receive preferential treatment in government contracting.
The HUBZone Accelerator is a consortium of HUBZone member companies organized by The Catalyst. The HUBZone Accelerator is funded solely by membership fees and sponsorships.
